MagCloud (Print’s Not Dead)

Homemade Magazines

I’m not quite sure how I found this one, but it sure is a gem. If you’re into the real world of perusing tangible quality, or if you’ve ever had the desire to publish your own magazine head over to MagCloud right a-way.

I’ve an acquaintance who just dropped $1,300.00 CAD on Issue 2 of his magazine, which I found to be a little steep for a magazine with no dedicated readership. So here’s the beauty, you don’t have to get pre-purchase a minimum run to qualify. If you only purchase 2 copies, and somebody else on the net purchases a copy, you’re not out any coin (just time). MagCloud’s using a relatively low-cost printing method, which sees magazines clock in at about $0.20 per page + shipping. If you’re publishing, you can tack on extra costs to pocket a little profit from your creation. The only downside I can see is that a PayPal account is required, no matter if you’re just purchasing or creating. Oh, and I just noticed it’s a subsidiary of Hewlett Packard, if that makes any difference to ya. And, it’s currently only USA, Canada and the UK. There ya go!

    Prince isn’t dead… not yet!

Last time I checked, Magcloud was only working with US clients…I’m glad it’s available to the “north” North American market now.
