Lately it seems as though I haven’t been keeping up with the hordes of new music being released every day. But one act that has graced myself with it’s presence in my playlist, and repeatedly caught my attention is Toronto’s Timber Timbre. Spookier than most, Timber Timbre boasts hauntingly sparse melodies and percussion alongside vocal lines that tie the sound together into a stark little parcel.
Musical Note! Timbre is often dubbed the colour of music, and could also be thought of as what defines the tonal quality of an instrument. Suiting.
