This is an installation that artist Leo Villareal created for the National Gallery of Art. This installation by Villareal started in September of 2008 and will [...]
This modular home has been around the blogosphere more than a few times but still stands out as an incredibly creative concept and worth a post. This exhibitionist form was created by architects Pieter Peelings and Silvia Mertens, of Sculp(IT). They created a livable space from 4 shipping containers stacked and cleverly placed between two [...]
I think its safe to say that we all need a little happiness right now (is it ever not that time?). Through my early morning interweb meanderings, I came across something that just might do the trick. Enter Mr. Charles Spearin; founding member of Broken Social Scene and Do Make Say Think. Spearin and his [...]
Thank you Google Images! You know when you hear a song and it drives you crazy because for the life of you can’t remember the name, or lyrics, or even have a chance to research it because of it’s obscurity or infrequent air play (or, maybe your brain isn’t as spongy as it once was)? [...]

Contrasting and complimentary images collide to create a uniform [...]
I’d love to hop on a bus/plane/jetpack and escape to Houston this instant, with the sole purpose of said trip involving time at the Rice Gallery.
Henrique Oliveira’s mural sized installations, dubbed ‘Tapumes’, scream of ingenuity that gets my he(art) pounding.
If it’s possible to fall in love with an artist simply through their works then consider me smitten. Although I may be a little late to join the club. Yayoi Kusama has been woo-ing the art world since the late 50’s. Her friend list of that period reads like a who’s who [...]

I love the work of Camilla d’Errico, so amazing and unique. I was lucky enough to see some of her work showcased at the Ayden Gallery in Vancouver last year. I especially love the way she fluently bridges vinyl toy culture with her art. I heart Camilla!

This site is simply brilliant. A preloader that loads other preloaders may seem pretty redundant, but when you see how clever and entertaining some are it’s easy to see how you can lose 10 minutes without any forethought. Pretty Loaded is a project curated by the creative agency Big Spaceship. You can submit your own [...]
This past Wednesday in Montréal I saw the advent of “In The Wake Of Hinamaturi”, a Japanese night at La Sala Rossa social club. I arrived just in time to catch Dynamo Coléoptera which was the first MTL band I fell in love with since moving here.
