I’ve been hearing a lot about Copenhagen lately. Aside from it’s incredible architecture, it’s seemingly exotic name, and its Finger Plan the capital city of Denmark is also home to one of my favourite poppity-pop rock bands as of late – Figurines. I’m currently most familiar with their 2006 release Skeleton, the majority of which is mega-energetic with the exception of Race You, a hauntingly heartbreaking tune which definitely suits the mood of this rainy Monday. (Rain may or may not be present in your current location, it sure as heck is here in Montréal).

If you’re looking for a pick-me-up with a side of melancholy, than here’s the group for you. I had the opportunity to see Forest City Lovers perform at Pop Montréal last year and they didn’t disappoint; they kept the crowd entertained and cast an overall fun mood. Seems as though they’re hard at work on a 3^rd album. Wondrous! Anyway, here’s a couple of tunes to get you through Tuesday.
