<p>This was a recommendation from @<a href="http://twitter.com/iancheung">iancheung</a> over the weekend, and I&#8217;ve had CAN on my &#8220;To Listen To&#8221; list for eons now. I had first heard of this band (as well as their lead vocalist Damo Suzuki) when Damo was touring his <a href="http://www.damosuzuki.de/">Network project</a> through Calgary a few years back. Some old friends were chosen to meet at the appointed venue on the appointed date, and take part in some &#8220;Instant Composing&#8221; with Damo. Seat of your pants improvisational rock, with one of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Can_(band)">founding fathers of various genres</a>? Sounds like a gem of an idea.</p>
